Does anyone know where we can buy tickets online for the upcoming Music Season?
I am specifically interested in Narada Gana Sabha and Music Academy.

Some online sites in India dont accept USA credit cards.

Please post any available options for people in USA to buy tickets online or through an agency may be Carnatica or something like that, that offers this service.

Thanks in advance

I am not sure this is available but if it can be bought online I too would be interested. Now that the Academy's website is up and running they really should consider selling tickets online as well. In the Hindu's Theatrefest and Novemberfest, for example, it is possible to buy online and the venue is the same, so there is really no reason that the same should not be done for the Season

Kutcheribuzz used to sell season tickets online, but they no longer do. I don't know of any other online vendor and tried hopelessly last year! But I'm told that for most non-Academy concerts, if you show up well enough ahead of time (1/2 hour?), you should be able to get tickets at the door.

That's right...even for Academy concerts, you should get tickets at the venue for all but 4-5 artistes...but that eats into precious canteen time! I like to have the comfort of a pass.

A clarification:

The same ticket is valid for both Ms. Charulatha Mani's 5:00pm concert and the following 7:00pm concert by Mr. Neyveli Santhanagopalan.

regards.

I just heard that season tickets had been sold out at the Academy! In 2006 I remember that I got a very good seat in the 3rd row of the Balcony just a couple of days before the Season began!

Could someone please let me know for future reference, what is usually the date on which the sale of season passes commences - the first of the month? This is also the first Season in which I will be negotiating without the security of a Season pass! Which means Q-ing up for tickets on a daily basis - yechhh...I could never resist a smirk or two at the unwashed masses jostling for daily tickets while I gobbled vadas at the canteen - looks like I will be joining them now...

Would appreciate some tips on when/how to go about getting these. I hope I won't end up missing too many lec-dems....

I understand the season tickets at The Music Academy for this year was sold out on the first day of their opening the counter, i.e. 3rd Dec'08 itself. When enquired they said only daily tickets can be bought on that particular day from 8 Am till tickets for that day gets sold out.

Vijay, out of curiosity, which 4-5 artistes would you NOT be able to get tickets for at the Academy itself? Per my schedule, I'm primarily interested in the Malladi Bros, Sowmya, and NSG concerts at the Academy. Would you recommend I queue up with the unwashed masses at 10 AM on the days of these concerts?

I don't think you should hae a problem with the artistes you mention, Bilahari!! No unwashed masses for the artistes you mention!
