2) Shri Varalakshmi - Shri - AS
3) Pahi Jagat Janani - Hamsanandi - AS

7) Virutham followed by Pravisha Radhe - Sivaranjani
8) A short Shlokam followed by Thedi Unnai - Sindubhairavi
9) Mangalam followed by Shlokam

Was a good start to the fest. I had to miss the preceding 5 PM concert by Sanjay, thanks to work at college!

It was a fine intellectual concert. The Manji piece and the main Kambhoji were the picks of the concert to me. Hamsanandi Alapanai was good with TNS doing a short Graha Bedam to Hindolam. Brovavamma was rendered leisurely and showed the different hues of Manji. Kambhoji Swarams were elaborate with extensive Kanakku. The violin support was good throughout. The Tani was fine with Shri Easwaran coming up with some nice patterns and a good finishing Korvai. The concert started off right on time at 7:15 PM. And true to TNS' style, ended close to 10:25 PM !

Sathej I attended the concert. The concert was of a different mood altogether. He was pensive and was too involved in his singing the devi krithis at a slow pace and not sing at his usual tempo. The concert was very good. I do not know how many of our rasikas who attended would agree. I totally agree with your assessment. If you had noticed that there were no Tyagaraja krithis I also attended the concert of Sanjay and it was as to be expected excellent with an elaborate Thodi followed by Enduku daya and a sedate Sahana alapana followed by the navavarna krithi of MD Bye Ragjay
