The Nalinakanthi was very elaborate and could have been called the main for the day but there was no Tani. I left during Kharaharapriya..probably was the main.

yes, Kharaharapriya was the main, but not that elaborate though. Nalinakanthi was superb, and Mayamalavagowlai was mindblowing. ..
The audience around me were noisy though..There was this particular man, who kept on talking across the rows, and continuously criticizing the artists , posing a great source of irritation...
Sivaraman sir was also too good.

Srikanth - keeping taalam is an integral part of the listening experience for many rasikas, including myself. Following the rhythm can be as addictive as following the melody. But I do agree that it should be done as unobtrusively as possible although I have to say that, unless you keep up a vigorous beat, (adhicchu podu), you need a very high level of laya sense to follow the rhythm accurately...
