About the lyrics and meaning of the kriti: There are some errors in the lyrics and I have corrected them.

Meaning:

I dont know in which manner you shower mercy on me, Oh Rama, the noblest king of sun dynasty.
Is it possible for me to swim across the ocean of worldly problems, Oh Rama, with eyes like lotus petals?

Oh Raghu nandana, Oh lord of Sita, Oh Rama, the protector of the helpless.
You are the abode of kindness, you are the bestower of boons to your devotees.

I already declared with pride that you are my Lord, Oh Rama. I stepped into your fold seeking your unfailing love.

There is good site where translated lyrics are collected. I suggest this site to be bookmarked.

This site made my life simple. However the last two charanams were jumbled, so had to correct the same.
Fifth charanam is wrongly written and translated. i corrected the same (taking from the telugu lyrics) and translated accordingly.

Corrections if any are welcome.

Sri Ramadasu's kritis are always tinited with such a soft touch of kArunyam......

Why don't we all enjoy a wonderful renditon of this song by the master Sri Nedunuri... how beautifully he brings the lyrics to life!!! Sri Sriram Parasuram and Palakkad Sri Raghu accompany him in this '80s Mumbai recording...

Divakarji, I hhave not heard all 7 caraNams - IIRC, Sri BMK has also rendered the same ones that Sri Nedunuri has.

Shankarji: Sri Balamuralikrishna too rendered but all 7 charanams. (only 1,3 and 7).
