Shri TVS has a style of starting with viruththams /slokhams and certainly nAttai with a round of sarvalaghu swaras was excellent. He proceeded with darbAr of NT in anu pallavi and the rendition was just ok , certainly felt there was not much weight there in the usually heavy darbAr.
RAga alApanai in pantuvarAli was very detailed though at few places it had a tinge of poorvikalyAni . His style of singing neraval and swaras was very good. Detailed alApana of kannada followed with a clean diction of sivan's kannada krithi and was excellent.
The main in kharaharapriya was a mixed bag , the start of the krithi was from the anupallavi (why 2 krithis start in anupallavi??) , his rendition of neraval was very good , however swaras in sarvalaghu had his brilliant touch. Certainly diction in the krithi was not upto mark and also he just sang the pallavi line rama nee yedA just once .
Two viruththams was very good , usually his hamsAnandi is always minimally excellent, but however there was little too much of rush in his rendition. The ever emotive shanthi nilava veNdum was somewhat sung with more vigour than bhakthi . Shri TVS ended with rasikas request in note , which was presented excellently to give a great finsh.
Shri TVS assisted by his son who sang the main alApana in full , he certainly does have a nice shareeram , but in swaras his singing was just average. Bhakthavatsalam's mridangam had bountiful of strokes and there was very good support by the kanjirA?? artist .Their tani was bit too long.Shri nAgai's play was excellent in kharaharapriyA and his returns in pantuvarAli was very fast and matched TVS's style a lot.
Overall Shri TVS performed a good to very good concert.

Good to see his son is given full Main Ragam. Normally this was not happening with other main artists -Ex, Mah.Santanam usually give only other half to his son.
His PS High school concert was posponed and was on last week. I went to the last 10 minutes to listen Hamsanandi followed by "Srinivas tiruvengadamudayan".
Interesting note was the LiC person removed the banner before TVS starting "Bhavamana". TVS signalled him not to remove and concluded with "Bhavamana" followed by 4 minutes "lovely" surutti.
