Janya of 22nd mela Khara hara priya(according to some texts,janya of 20th,nata bhairavi,but chatu shruti dhaivatha appears more than sudha daivatha,in sacharas,so popularly taken as janya of 22nd)

Ubhaya vakra raga,sudha dhaivata as anya swara in certain prayogas like p d p m,m g m d p m,so bhashanga raga.
Sancharas like n p n n s (in mantra stayi) n d n p d n d m are unique.
There are plenty of compositions,most of them in chowka kalam.

2.nanu vidaci
3.sree neelotpala deekshitar
4.Janani ninuvina Subharaya shastry(beautiful piece,used to hear thousand times during navarathri! The chitta swaras are fantastic.I have heard most vidwans singing it,but let me recall GJR Krishnan and Vijayalakshmi played it,during a navarathri concert that too?marvelous,all the essence of ritigoula flowing?)
5.Paripalayamam Swathi thirunal(pl find my posting on Dr.Ramanathan)
there are film songs too,based on this raga,chinna kannan?sung by BMK and S.Janaky.

Well why are we forgetting one of the best of them... Dvaithamu Sukhama?

I'm sure we have all heard Semmangudi sing it beautifully, but I also have a version where Chembai sing it with gusto... maybe not many would have heard that.

Here is Chembai's Dvaithamu Sukhama. It is preceeded by swaraprastara for Nidhisala Sukhama (Kalyani) and followed by a short and nice Arabhi alapana... I have included them just for us to be able to appreciate the concert flow. Violinist and Mridangist are MSG & TVG, the Venue and year probably being Rasika Ranjani Sabha, 1971-72.
