It was a nice concert by TNS accompanied on the violin by Shri MA Sundaresan, on the Mrudangam by Shri Guruvayur Dorai and on the Kanjira by Shri Purushothaman.
There were just 3 major Krithis. Starting off with a 7 minute Thodi, TNS went on to sing Karthikeya Gangeya with an elaborate Neraval and Swaram. The Kambhoji main Ragam was beautifully sung. He touched the Melsthayi Panchamam a few times with faithful adherence to Shruthi. Shri Subrahmanyaya Namasthe had very elaborate Neraval and Swarams and Shri MAS' reply each time was excellent. The Pallavi of the Krithi was sung in Trikalam and in various permutations exhaustively, earning the applause of Shri Dorai and Shri TV Vasan(who happened to be there as well). His voice cooperated very well today. The Thani led by the veteran Shri Dorai was very good as well. And the Virutham was leisurely sung in Saveri, Sumanesaranjani (was announced, hope I got the name right) with a Graha Bedam to Chandrakauns, Sindubhairavi and one other Ragam (didn't note and my memory is bad - I guess it was Behag).
Overall, a beautiful concert by a great team that I would remember for quite some time to come.

Sathej has left out to mention the krthi srisaravanbhavuni vinaa in sumansapriya a composition of Muthiah bhagavathar. The raga mentioned in the viruttham is sumanesaranjani alright. After that it was Desh I think , before sindhubhairavi.
