Now we are considering one group, that is fine; among that group there are bhajanapriyas; they may like to hear gitagOvindam and marathi abhang.

As far as the contrast between wishing for the Trinity's (I dont like that word much since the songs of Patnam etc are not of a lower standard) compositions and wishing for Tamil compositions goes, singing in Tamil ipso facto won't raise the quality of a concert while it is the other way round for songs of Thyagaraja, Dikshitar and Sastri.
T,D&S are still the standard against which the quality of others' compositions are evaluated. No one holds Tamil (or for that matter any other language) as a standard for musical quality.
Asking for more Tamil songs (or Kannada songs or Sanskrit songs) is not the same as asking for the Trinity's songs. I hope therefore people wont repeat this comparison between Tamil çompositions & CM Trinity compositions ad nauseum.
