The SivAShTapadI is a prototype of jayadEva's gItagOvindam and observes the ashTapadI composition structure. Can't remember the name of the composer.
I don't know whether Shivan had male progeny , but his daughter Dr rukmiNi ramaNi has composed a pancaratnam on kapAlIShvarar. Is this a Papanasam piece? or his son's?

there are several compositions which have followed closely, the pattern initiated by JayadEva's KAvya..
there is the gIta-gOpAla of a mysore royalty, the gitagangAdhara, the sangita-rAghavam, and the other two listed below..
I think you are referring to the SivASTapadI composed by chandrashekhara saraswati, the 62nd pontiff of the Kanci kamakOti pITam.
There is a book edited and published by prof.V.Raghavan, called ASTapadI-dvayam, which has a 'RAmASTapadI' and this SivASTapadI as well..
The AStapadi-s fit into jayadEva's template, very well.. For example..
The first one goes -
' kanaka-sabhAsadanE vadanE darahAsaM' which is to the gait of 'pralaya- payOdhi jalE dhRtavanasi vEdaM'
The kanchi sankara maTam may have newer editions/copies of the old edition..
