Skype Music lessons

Hello everyone...

I'am a new member and would like to thank all the contributors for developing this interesting and informative forum.

I'am looking for a good skype music teacher preferably disciple of a renowned musician (within US / India) for my

daughter.

I would appreciate any input/suggestions regd this and also convey my thanks.

Thankyou for your response. Could anyone provide any information regd whose disciples Smt Jaya sekar
and Smt Dr Narmada are and where they are geographically located. Thankyou once again....

Dr. Narmada, I am guessing is the daughter of vidwan MS Gopalakrishnan. Do not know about Jaya Sekar.

Dr. Narmadha lives in Adyar. Like Appu has said she is daughter of MSG & a leading concert artiste. Jaya Sekhar is a disciple of the GREAT Pinaka pani garu (who is still teaching at age 95!) & also learns from LGJ. She shuttles between KL & CHENNAI APArt from N.A. She has been the key co-ordinator for the Samphradaya Concerts in Cleveland Aradhana every year by following up & teaching, correcting etc from Chennai as well as N.A. for close to 3-4 months a year. She is versatile & can teach Vocal, Veenai, Flute & maybe Violin too. She has her own School at KL. She is a dedicated,patient, efficient& EXCELLENT Teacher; I can attest to it as I have personally witnessed it....When she is in Chennai she lives in Tiruvanmaiyur......
Both teach thru' Skype. VKV

Sri NSG also teaches over the internet, but not via Skype I think. It's worth contacting him too (he posts as vidyarthi in this forum).

Sri.Mannarkoil Balaji (OUR resident Mridangam Expert & Asthana Vidwan) told me when I asked him he might be willing to teach Mridangam thru' skype. VKV
