Vidwan Suryaprakash accompanied by shri Raghavendra rao(violin) and shri Murugabhoopathy (mrudangam) gave a scintillating concert under the auspices
of "Shruthi"

Raghavendra rao is a student of TNK and his melodious bowing techniques, made this concert even more soulful.

The small audience (10-20 people) did not dim enthusiasm nor the sincerity of the artistes.
I don't kow this hamsadhwani composition at all.

ChidambaranAthA thiruvaRuL thA thA - hemavathi- MKT

I never knew raghavendra rao's guru at all, a pleasant surprise that he is Shri TNK.

birmingham has opened the account with your review . Nice to hear the crowd is still opting to hear CM in this small city, perhaps you could have gone for a mike less concert too to just get a feel of how it would be ?

Keep it coming birmingham krishnan, please review future artists in birmingham.

Rajesh,
I have heard TVS sing jaya jaya gaNapati mangaLa kArin a few times as an opener.
There will be bigger crowds in other cities. I do hope Suryaprakash will post a sample sometime from his US tour concerts. Such good accompaniments, as Birmingham krishnan remarks.

Birmingham Krishnan, out of curiosity - what is the average size of the audience in your city?
Thank you for that lovely account, by the way.

Bilahari,
good that you asked!! I did not want people to think Surya reduced the audience!!!Usually we have about 30-45 people in the begining and then.....
Out of towners show up only if it is a saturday concert.
