The concert was organised by The Times of India group as a part of promoting their Crest Magazine.

First things first
It was organised by TOI in a grand manner for Carnatic Music.
The Hall was fully packed even the first balcony was full which was very heartening , that too on a week day.
TOI has promised to hold many more such events .Considering the near full house in the 3000 odd seat in Shanmukhananda I am sure TOI will hold more such carnatic music events.
Kudos to Smt Nithyashree to invite pakka vadhyam artistes of Mumbai again to accompany her , which she is doing time and again.
The Thani was short ffor 9 minutes and most surprising was not a soul left the auditorium.

It was a short crisp 1 and half hour concert with aalaaps for Bhoopalam and Simhendra madhyamam
Swaram was done at kamala Vijaya in sadachaleshwaram , and short neraval and swaram at Munimanasa in Rama Rama gunaseema
It was short concert and made us wish she had sung more time as she ended the concert.
She concluded with a request for peace considering the last years attack on 26/11.

She announced the raga and composer before starting each song I guess it was for the many north Indian crowd which had come to attend in full force.

Shivakumar played nicely on violin for Varamu and Simhendra madyamam .
Rajesh was usual professional self and I am seeing him for 3rd time accompanying Nithyashree in Mumbai.Shekar and Shaktidhar were adequate.

This was concert was followed by Shri Viku Vinayakaram and his teams Saptakshara concert .
I stayed for first 10 minutes but could not bear the high decibel banging which I heard closing my ears.
This is not to demean the artists by any means or chance but I could not bear the high level sound.
