It was a good concert. The Sreeranjini keertana was follosed by good kalpanaswaras in the second kalam. Bilharai was rendered well bringing out the entire gamut of the raga started by Shanmugapriya and followed by Haripriya. It contained some nice swara combinations as well. Intha sowkhya was rendered with lot of clarity on the sahithyam which the sisters are famous for and in a leisurely kalapramanam. Subhapanthuvarali was rendered elaborately - for about 10 minutes shared by both the sisters. The alapana was rendered with a lot of feeling and the kriti and elaborate swaras were rendered with great precision. The main song was in Madhyamavathi and the raga was rendered by Haripriya for 10 minutes covering the entire canvas of the raga. Neraval at Kanthamaku peru and swaras in both kalams were done with elaborate kuraippu. The thani was for about 10 minutes. The mridangam artist played very supportively during the vocal but in the thani it was loud. On the whole, an enjoyable concert.
