It was an amazing concert! This is the first time I'm listening to this great artist. Paridana Michite in Bilahari was absolutely amazing! The neraval was a treat to listen to. Swaram at Sri Satyanarayanam was also superb, with commendable swara combinations. Mohanam raga alapanai was great as well, and so was the neraval and swaram at Taramanu Java. However, this being the main song of the concert, the neraval and swaram were quite short. Both of them together would not have lasted more than 10-15 mins.

One thing I noted with Sri Suryaprakash is that the volume of his voice does not fluctuate as he sings high or low. He has incredible clarity in his singing. His lower notes are just as clear as his high notes are, which I believe is his major strength. This makes his singing very pleasing to the ears.

Overall, I felt this was an excellent concert.

-Abhishek.

Mohana Rama (Mohanam - 2Kalai Adi) - RNST ( Simple sama eduppu tALam)
- tani in Aaadhi - IMPO, kriti having better tALam could have been chosen, considering the merit of Maestro UKS. In fact 80-00% of the krities chosen in the concert is of Aaadhi only.

Few points:
-------------
# This concert was in the morning slot started 15 mins late at 9:45 and ended at 11:50 , so to that extent the team gelled and performed well. The highlight of this concert was the subhapaNtuvarAli , the alApanai was vilamba kalAm with nice alankaram, swaras were very very aesthetic

# mOhanam had its charm with a nice ringing voice from suryaprakAsh , the emotive chinnanjiru kiliyE was nice especially in that segment of ragamAliga when any one sings in neelamani.

# MAS was very sweet in his play with a right sense of proportion, when he played subhapantuvarAli he was very much hindustani prompting UKS sir to say achA at the end of his alApanai. Lot of cut bowing like MSG for mOhanam was stunning and it was job well done.

# I had a chance to attend two concerts yesterday one in the morning and the other in the evening of GV and I am hearing 4 concerts in the last 3 days. If there is one thing that stands so different in this concert was the nADHAM of mridanga legendary UKS Sir . Yesterday he did not play very aggresively infact only for bilahari he was very aggressive , but the patterns that he played for subhapantuvarAli and mOhanam were superb , exceptional shruthi suddham in mrudangam is only found in abundance with UKS. Incidentally he did not play at all during chinnan chiru kiliyE , perhaps he was showing his palakkad mani iyer tutelage and then a flurry of strokes for krishna mukunda in navarOz. I wish UKS sir takes a class on how to get that mrudanga nAdham , there is no over banging at all yet powerful and amazing clarity in each and every stroke .

# EM Subramaniam (not BSP) was the kanjirA artist , he was under total remote control of UKS sir, well that is what is upa pakkavAdhyam, he played well .

Overall a very good concert more centered on subtleness and aesthetics and not on carnatic aggression which usually the team is generally capable of.
