Req: Lec Dems @ Chennai for non chennaites

Dear Rasikas,

I have been following this website for quite some time now (though I had not officially registered). I have thoroughly enjoyed reviews/comments of srinivasgn, vasanthakokilam, coolkarni, Keerti,arasi maam, arunk to name a few...

I have a request to make. For the benefit of thousands of rasikas from who have not been able to make it to chennai for the season (for various reasons), I request the chennai rasikas to post the Lecture Demonstrations on various topics (preferably recordings... hope they are not commercial ??).

There have been very very interesting lec dems this time around (Am so very guilty of missing them).. Especially,

1) By Suguna madam on Avadhana Pallavis @ MA
2) Manji and allied ragas at MA
3) Kanukku in sangeetha by TRS sir
4) Neraval by TRS sir

I am sure all the non-chennai vaasis shall very thankful..

Also, how about starting a new subforum for only lec dems.. or do you all want it to be part of technical discussions?

I share the same sentiment. In this day and age it would be beneficial for someone to organize some sort of skype conference call where those rasikas who are interested can pay and listen to the lec dems via some sort of conferencing device. It shouldnÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢t be too difficult.

In fact you can log onto www.dinamani.com , for reading about lec-dems, as the paper is giving short reports of the MA Lec Dems.

I have not seen any review about senior vidushi, Smt. Jayalakshmi Santhanam. Didn't she sing at Bharat Kalachar this year? She is a very good artist . It would be nice if anybody who attended her concert writes a review. Thanks in advance.

I will be attending Prof SRJ Lec/Dem at Parthasarathy Swami tomorrow. It is at 10:00 AM on all ragams associated with SGMPNS-SNPMGS patterns.
