My site has a write up on the above concert : www.chennaidecemberseason.com.
Any one interested may please read that.
Bombay Jaysree however proved her place as a "modern classicist" after todays concert.
She is true to herself and to the audience on her presentation, working within her patantharam, her abilities and her limitations, still producing very good music, well within the classical idiom.

To quote you in your review Sivapriya....
Starting with Varavallabha in Hamsadhwani, Sogasujooda tharama, she went on to a fast Dharee ni telusu konti with brisk firework swaras. With a wonderfully elaborated and very involved Kamboji raga, she sang the Lalgudi Pancharatna kriti Mahita Pravrudha, in Tisra Triputa, arai edam , as taught and preserved by her Guru Lalgudi Jayaraman. Kaa Guha in Kosalam , a Koteeswara Iyer kriti was followed by a very good Kapi raga, interwoven with Mohana Kalyani and Dwijavanti ...
I truly agree with you and I think it was a great concert...wholesome, dignified and pleasing. The kamboji was absorbing. Jayashree was at her best.
