It was a fantastic concert by the full time. Almost a full bench. The concert was absolutely grand the pieces were all perfectly rendered and the renditions were measured and crisp in both kalpitam and manodarma parts. The vocalist was just too brilliantly inspiring. The accompanists were all perfect and played their parts aptly.

Thank you for the list and write up. A memorable concert indeed.

It was really great to play for Jayalakshmi Mami and also when scholarly musicians like Shri PSN mama, Shri Ravikiran, Smt. Suguna Purushothaman, Smt. Suguna Varadhachari, Smt. Seetha Rajan and many were there... Thanks to psn mama, as he asked mami to sing sahi prANa.

rbharath,

I'm sorry but what is the full name for the composer abbreviated to DS? The abbreviation does not strike a bell in my mind. Thanks!

At her age to sing with 3 percussionists this many songs with such a wide spread of vageyakkaras by smt Jayalakshmi santhanam is very commendable.

I was a bit late in arriving, but the concert was all that you folks say it was. Makes me proud of her, of course!
Aravukkarasar's playing was classy. Wish I had spent a few more minutes with him (Nagarajan).
I am discovering Ranjani Ramakrishnan. Heard her play a few times this season. She is impressive.
The amusing part of it was that when I went to speak to JS after the concert, her first words were (she noticed my coming in late): I was going to sing one of your songs, but since I did not see you, I did not! That made me laugh. No complaints there. She sings my songs in most of her concerts :)

It should be 'Sharanu Siddhi Vinayaka ' (Sharanu meaning : prostrate/suurender ),
