Deepa, the composer is not Sri Dikshitar, but Sri Harikesanallur Muttiah Bhagavatar.

[2] Very similar to how Sri Sivan refers to vishNu as pUraNan
[3] harikESa is the mudra of the composer, Sri Harikesanallur Muttiah Bhagavatar, but is also a descriptor of Siva whose locks are a reddish brown (Sen SaDiyAn)
[4] I have interpreted AcAMbara to be Aca + aMbara, and Aca to mean water - needs clarification; if correct, it refers to the gangA

Pardon my ignorance of Sanskrit.
Is it "AshAmbara" to rhyme with "pAshangusa"?
If so does Asha mean fire?
Then AshAmbara would mean "one who holds fire" in his hand.
Just a thought. I may be wrong.

Excellent job as usual.
I have heard it as 'AshAmbaraharikEshavilAsE' which parses as:
A (with)+ shAmbara (like the champaka flower) + hari (greenish golden) + kEsha (hair) + vilAsE (you the one who plays)...
in other words AshAmbaraharikEsha = Siva
Your interpretation of sakalE as complete/perfect is fine since it implies that amba has the sixteen (ShODasha) kalas..

Ravi - thanks for the nice translation.

One of the meanings of AshA is "dik" or directions. Therefore AshAmbara is the same as digambara ie Shiva with no clothes, as he is in some forms like BhikshATana.

AnandarUpE - embodiment of supreme bliss

also iksu is given as sugarcane - which sodasi holds.

Ha! That makes sense.
AshAmbhara = AshAm (desires) bhara (fulfill)
It is nice to see the lyrics in devanagari script to get these correct interpretations since the transliterated roman script is misleading!
