Shri G Ravikiran gave a satisfying recital with the following items for the Parthasarathy Swamy Sabha on 2nd January 2010.
1) Chelimi - Gowlai-Adi-Varnam
2) Sarasiruhasanapriye-Nata-Adi
3) Kaveri Viraja Seyam Slokam in Varali followed by "Ille Vaikunta" in Khandachappu of Purandaradasa
4) Samukhana Nil-Adi-Kokilavarali
5) O Ranga Sayee-Kambojhi-Adi
6) Cheli Nenetlu-Paras-Adi
7) Slokam in Ananda Bhairavi, Hamirkalyani and Hamsanandhi followed byu Tulasi Vanam's Shyama Ghanabha
The concert was marked with both bhava and verve. Ravikiran is endowed with a very powerful voice and also he sings with lot of bhava. His swarakalpanas are rendered with precision and his manodharma part is replete with good creative aspects.
Chandran on violin provided good support and his version of Kambojhi was noteworthy.
I played thani avartanam for 2 Kalai Adi Talam following the korvai sang by Ravikiran and did some on-the-spot improvisations.
The audience turn out was not that encouraging for this youngster but whoever attended stayed till the end of the concert goes to show the artiste's capacity to retain the audience through his good music. With constant practice and commitment Ravikiran can come up the ladder quickly and can stay there for a long time as his foundation is strong.

Lovely concert by G Ravikiran. I truly appreciate the way he developed the virutams in both Varali and the Ragamalika.
O Ranga Sayee was sung in a typical Semmangudi bani and the neraval in "Bhooloka" was outstanding.
A youngster with great potential and talent to be a future star.
Balaji was fantastic in his anticipation especially in Kambodhi. I enjoyed his accompaniment and his tani was marvelous.
Chandran's support to the main artist was good.
I am attaching below a picture of the concert.
