It was a good concert. It was pretty interesting to hear the popular violinst sing. She has a good voice and gave a pretty interesting concert with some rare kritis. They were presented well. The songs and the manOdarmam were good and had a strong punch of her lineage. The accompanists were good too.

I heard this very talented violinist sing a couple of years ago - she was the vocalist for the music that Smt. Bala Devi Chandrasekhar had danced to. I do not remember the details, but a beautiful naLinakAnti had captivated me.

Is this a recent composition? cendil nagar is obviously a very favorite piece.

I've heard her many times before, and have found her very good.

But this season, she seemed to have some problems with her shruthi. Maybe it was one off concert. Hope to hear her sing sometime. Good luck to the artist.

hamsarUpiNi is a janya of harikambhoji with the scale s r g p d s / s n p m r s.

Smt Padma explained that one could interpret the scale as mohanam on the ArOhaNam and madhyamAvati on the avarOhaNam
