I had the pleasantest(is it grammatically correct)surprise of my life when I met Lakshman Ragade at the marriage of my close relative Ashwin, the elder of the Toronto Bros(a forumite) at Thanjavuron 21stand 22 january. It is a sort of dream come true for me,as one of my cherished desires was to meet LR in person and chat with the walking encyclopedia . He said he was interested in visiting the temples in Kumbakonam and visit the samadhis of the Trinity at TIRUVARUR. Gobilalitha

Congratulations to the married couple. I had the pleasure of listening to the Toronto Bros this season at Parthasarathy Sabha. May the couple be blessed with many many years of musical harmony and married bliss.

Congratulations, Ashwin and his bride! Glad to see our talented young forumites tying the knot. It was our Ram last year, and it was so nice meeting his mate.

L,
Did not know you were in Bharath! Any chance of meeting you? Is S with you too? Have a lovely stay!

>>visit the samadhis of the Trinity at TIRUVARUR. Gobilalitha<<

I am not sure if you can call the memorial buildings in tiruvArUr (the birthplace of trinity) as samAdhis. Isn't samAdhi supposed to denote a burial place (as Thyagaraja's samAdhi in tiruvaiyARu)?

Don't you think others got it? The "vasu" was obvious clue. I was pointing out the exact transliterated way it should be written.

A good picture of two special rasikAs.!

veLiyE kOyilum ciRpamum
uLLE kalai virumbum rasikar iruvar

This is for Nick and others who cannot read tamizh: the sign says veLiyE (exit-outside).

The temple and sculptures outside
Inside are fine arts-loving rasikAs two.

I uploaded the picture for GBL. He provided it to me, so I assume it was taken with his camera.

VKR - sorry I left you out and VK too. Well, some mug-shots at least would help see the faces behind the frequent flyers here, just to check if the image matches the faces... :D
