Suggestions about usergroups

Hi everyone,

Our current forum allows for usergroups and group leaders. These are useful if we take up music-related projects and identify teams for the same. I would like to have suggestions from our members regarding identification of these projects.

Examples of projects could be like:
Dikshitar kritis audio documentation - having a royalty-free database of dikshitar kriti recordings on vocal and various instruments

Please suggest so those of us that are interested can do something more than just talking.

I can be a volunteer to run around and coordinate. It will be possible to do complete specific task, if assigned.

Good idea srkris. Would the activities like the Rasikas meets in various cities, jam session etc. be good candidates for organizing under user groups with the group leader organizing the schedules and activities?

Can you give a short example of how a user group operates? What is the role of the group leader?
Is a membership entry needed to join the user group...
