Wow! Was the singer clearly audible at all times in spite of the absence of the mic? Did the accompanists play differently (softly) so as not to overwhelm the voice? I am not personally familiar with Ms Girish's voice -- does she have a voice that "carries"?

Back in the old days when not only were there no mic's, the concerts were out in the open with no acoustics, only the belters would have survived. But having a closed music hall with good acoustics can make a tremendous difference.
