Search for Taana varnam-s they are always short, you can get a big collection from T.K. Govind Rao's Book Varna Saagaram of Gaanamandir Publications

If you give me a hint of the theme or names, maybe I can find you some.

Re: need a short varnam
Most varnams have a similar structure so are of the same length. The duration of the varnam will depend on the sanchari-s that are elaborated which means certain lines of the varnam are repeated. Also the length of jathis in between lines can vary and hence will contribute to the overall duration.

Some of the things I have seen in the past to cut down the length of the Varnam. (I neither agree or disagree with these
)
1) Cut the number of Jathis.
2) Sing whole pallavi instead of singing it in 2 parts. Same can be done for anupallavi. This would reduce one jathi each.
3) You can leave out Jathi in the second half.
4) I have seen only first half of varnam performed.
5) I have seen arudhi removed from second half.
6) less sancharis.
7) I have seen Thattumettu done for first half of pallavi/anupallavi while second half is used to go back, get ready for next Jathi thus reducing one cycle of pallavi/anupallavi.
BalaSaraswathi supposedly said her Varnam cannot be made shorter than 12 minutes when Satyajit Ray asked her to shorten it for filming

Another option is to speed up the varnam.
I have several varnams of 25 minutes and exactly the same varnams in 12 minutes without changing the structure of the varnam.
Just play and sing it faster...of course you have to dance it faster as well

Maybe a varnam is not the best item to present. By making it too short or too fast, it will lose its grandeur. If the audience has a limited attention span, try a jathiswaram or thillana instead.
