A wonderful concert with superb percussion support by Madirimangalam Sri Swaminathan (Mridangam) and Madipakkam Sri Murali(Ghatam). Some comments on this concert are also posted in the Vidwans and Vidushis section.

It was indeed a nice concert and the team was really great in their presentation. I could only be there for around half hour from 4 th item till the raaga aalapana of Kannada. Credits also to the PA system and the person who handles same, young and energetic.

it was indeed a very good concert.

The kAnaDa AlApanai by Smt Jaysri and the tAnam that followed with rAgamAlikA to bilahari, varALi, hamIrkalyANi etc was indeed my pick of the day.
it made my day and gave me real satisfaction in the mind.

A small correction : The varnam is a composition of Muthuswamy Dikshitar himself. This was clarified by Smt Jaysri.
