I went to hear this vidushi for the first time. As I entered the infosys hall in mudhrA she was singing the AbhOgi. Her voice had a nice azhuttam and she wrapped well with a quick round of swaras . She sang the rare natanArAyani very well , the 3rd in valaci almost followed like 2nd , certainly felt the alApanai could have been included with the third number
The submain was in lathAngi , certainly I got this rAga without any doubts . LathAngi is always a combo of kalyAni and pantuvarAli and her first alApana was well done. The krithi with neraval continued well , her swaras were bit short in lathAngi .
The DKJ school that she belonged has sung this bilahari , it is a tricky and a bit turbulent number with its cittaswaras and her bilahari rendition did not have a nice polish . Overall till the beginning of main there was not much swaras .
The main was in tOdi and her elaborate alApana was really well presented , she built up very well . The scholarly dikshitar krithi bore her DKJ-DKP school stamp , always I miss in general more neraval and swaras and to an extent her school always has that kind of proportion.
Post tani there was not much in the concert . A rare kamAs ?? a number that had a patriotic theme.That number was bit boring . The yamunA kalyAni bhavayAmi goPAlam was good. The crowd in mudhra was really pathetic about 20 max and only 6 were there in the end , perhaps that was the sole reason for her to wind up quickly.(It was a saturday concert in a big concert hall, I felt she could have gone for a rtp).
The accompanist spa in violin was bit too hard pressing the bow , not gentle as a spa massage, the mridhangist nellai balAji was really the pick of the day.

As I walked back from hall , I saw the bus 12B. While so many of them take 12B from mylapore at 9pm to come back to mambalam after a concert, there are no takers from mambalam back to mylapore
.Overall a good concert for 2 hours
