ramamanohari - raga came with an understated flair and unalloyed purity…MD's oeuvre of singular beauty, ‘mathangi sri rajarajeshwari’ filled with sensitive phrasings with passionate fidelity to the emotion of the composer ...with their graceful musical diction and the lilt of an austere dance embellished the neraval along the melodic phrase, ‘ramAmanOhari rAkEndushekari sukhakari’ ... kalpanaswaras with such technical flair striking a celebratory note with Sri. ganesh prasad and Sri. satish kumar…
bhairavi RTP –
in the unruffled and extensive alapana of bhairavi, with gradual progression both the brothers delineated the raga’s nuances sensitively, unfolding it leisurely with gradual intensification of notes paving the path for the rhythmically driven tanam of shifting meters firmly moored in the melody with mridangam accompaniment… followed by their confection of the pallavi text, ‘dEvi srI tripura sundari deena dayAkari shankari’ in chatusra triputa thalam:) with all praise to the goddess…and ganesh Prasad and Satih kumar plunged into the exposition with spirited energy preserving the evocative quality of the lyrics followed by Sri. satish kumar’s riveting solo…concluded the ‘devi special’ concert with the pensive ‘jaya jaya durge’ in durga tuned by Sr. malladi suri babu…
a few of us who sneaked in early, got a treat of jalajaksha varnam in hamsadwani, glimpses of begada, bahudari as they tested the sound system…little guilty pleasures of life… thanks to the o.k. sound system:)…

Thanks for the post kedharam. I guess you meant to say Ramamanohari here...and not Ramapriya.
>> Ramapriya – mAthangi srI rAjarAjEshwari, R, N @ 'ramAmanOhari rAkEndushekari sukhakari', S, MD
Being the start of Navaratri festive season, good to see many compositions on the goddess.

You are correct. Apparently Dikshitar named it as Ramamanohari.

Kedharam,
They are singing more tamizh songs now. I bet you enjoyed the two concerts of the twosome in a row!
