V.K. Arun Kumar, son of Mr. V.N. Kumaraswamy and Mrs. V.K. Bhuvaneswari, is a Carnatic vocal artist and enthusiast to watch for .

Arun's vocal training began with his paternal grandmother, Smt. C.S. Lalitha, disciple of Late Sri. Kittamani Iyer. Arun's grandmother also absorbed the tradition of 'Sangita Kalanidhi' Smt. T. Brinda and was able to transfer this to him.He had the the guidance of 'Sangita Kala Acharya' Guru Smt. Seetha Rajan, one of the senior disciples of doyen Semmangudi Dr. Srinivasa Iyer.

While his music provides a soft touch with bhava and reflects a sense of passion, devotion and dedication , I think there is scope for improved gamakas and kalpana swarams as I have not come across any serious concerts as such.
