During the Pallavi I was told by a neighbor "He dropped 2 aksharams and did Khanda nadai as it is not possible to go to khandam in misra chapu ". I am not good at talam - can a knowledgeable rasika or Sanjay himself (if he reads this forum) clarify

I enjoyed the concert very much. I hadn't heard the Sankarabharanam song before. As usual - he started with a traditional not-so-common varnam. Hearing KSG and Sanjay back to back was blissful - even though they shared 3 songs (palinchu, bhogendra, visweswara).

Can someone who attended the concert enlighten me about the laya intricacies in the pallavi.

The sankarabharanam krithi "bAgu mIraganu nAtO" is by veena kuppaiyer.

RTP - simhEndramadhyamam: Pallavi: Anandha natamidum sabEsanai nI ninai manamE; Misra chapu: Niraval in three sets of three ragas each: sahAna, mOhanam and Anandhabhairavi - nAtakuranji, hindOlam, and kEdAram - kApi, behAg and surati.

Visveswara dharasana kara was sung in Sindhubhairavi, Peelu and Kosalam.

Bago Meera (Shankarabaranam)is a Veena-Kuppier kriti; Sanjay had rendered this a few years ago at Mangala Mantapa (at a concert of SRLK Mandira's Spring Festival)

'bAgu mIraga' probably reflects the composer's request for something that doesn't exceed (mIraga) appropriateness/propriety/excellence (bAgu)

You have heard bAgu mIra twice from Sanjay. It's an old favorite of mine but haven't heard it in ages from anyone. I had news from a friend that his simhEndra madhyamam etched itself in one's mind. It just poured out of him, was what the rasikA wrote. Those who care not for uncommon rAgams would have been very happy too, I'm sure.

Yes I have heard Sanjay sing this song in Ragesri, but in this concert he chose desh.
