It was a programme organised by "ISAI" as a part of 100th Concert. They were conferring the award
" Isai Tendral" on Vijay Siva. It was given by Smt Kamala Murthy, Harikata Exponent. The programme
started at 6.15 and the anchor person took more than 30 minutes for just praising Vijay Siva. He said "VS is God
incarnate, award is lucky because it goes to Vijay Siva, and parents are fortunate to have a son like this.". all this
stuff.... and this despite the promise made to VS (not praising him in the podium).

The organisers do not understand the basic fact that Vijay Siva is a known person to all and does not need any intro
nor praise. Giving an award does not mean taking the artist and rasikas for a "ride" . Most of the rasikas
(above 50) has been seeing Vijay Siva accompanying DKJ. If an award needs to be given, welcome, but the organisers
should plan it to be crisp and neat and need not take 60 minutes that to starting from 6.15 PM. In between, one lady had writeen a poem on Vijay Siva (oh..NO.....). and it was read.
Vijay Siva visbily annoyed most of the times. One thing missing was Venketeshwaran, the head of the organiser did not write "Ashtotram" on Vijay Siva !!!.

The programme started at 7.15. But he did not disappoint rasikas though the concert was less than 2 hours.

Vijay Siva in his shorter concert capsuled almost all the Composers and brought a superb concert. All his
Alapanas, Pantuvarali, kedaragowla and Bairavi were crisp and good.

Umayalpuram Mali, as was told, is a visiting profession in Harward University. I heard Amrita Murali playing Violin
first time. Both were good at their respective field.

Thanks for the review. No wonder Vijay Siva was miffed, and so were the listeners who had come to hear him and not the long speeches.
