AndhOLika- This is considerd as a janya of Kharaharapriya as well as a janya of Harikambhoji.
Aa: S R2 M1 P N2 S
Av: S N2 D2 M1 R2 S
In Aa Gandhara and Dhaivatha are varjyam. In Ava Gandhara and Panchama are varjyam.
This raga is also called Mayuradhwani.
Andholika will produce shringara rasa.

Raaga Sudharasa and Sevikka Vendumayya as well as Nee Dayarada (Varnam) are popularly heard.

Request Lakshman to kindly provide the full list of Compositions in Andholika.

I think, GNB popularised this raga and used to sing Raga Sudharasa excellently, which was followed by MLV also.

There is a rich AUDIO clippings provided by Thanjavur on Andholika. Rasikas can enjoy all these clippings in the thread on Janyas of Kharaharapriya. These clippings have made the Andholika thread under Janyas of Kharaharapriya more lively and enjoyable and provides an oppurtunity for active participation my rasikas.

Does ga (sadharana) occur in Andholika ? Maybe in a phrase like GMRS. What is/are the nyasaa swaras fot this raga?

According to GNB(vide)GN SaahityangaL authored by Sri TSK and S.Ramachandran, AnDOLika is derivative of K.harapriyaa922ndmELam)
with: SA RI MA PA NI SA (AROH)
SA NI DA MA RI SA(AVAROH)
According to Sampradaayapradharshini, it is a derivative of (28)harikhambhoji
with (Aroh) SA RI MA PA NI SA
(Ava) SA NI DA MA RI GA MA RI SA
According to Rangaiah (Mysore) three diff,types of lakshaNams are given with (28) H.kAmbh0ji as the janaka rAga.
(1) (ArOh) SA RI MA PA NI SA
(AVA) SA NI PA MA RI GA MA RI SA
((2) (ArOh) SA RI MA PA NI SA
(AVA) SA NI DA MA GA RI SA
(3) (AROH) SA RI MA PA NI SA
(AVA) SA NI DA MA RI SA
iT is evident that SaadharaaNa gandharam does not appear anywhere , both according to GNB school and Mysore Rangiah School.
Even if the alternated version (of Mys.Rangiah, sticking to H.KambhOji as Janaka raaga, it is Antara Ghaandhaara only.
The mostly in vogue raaga lakshNam for AndhoLika is SA RI MA PA NI SA ;SA NI DA MA RI SA WITH NO GAANDHARAAM AT ALL.
