The concert fell on the auspicious Thiruvadirai day, and the song list comprised of songs in praise of Lord Siva. Right from the Varnam all the way till the Mangalam, it was a fantastic concert and an absolute treat, with excellent support from Smt. Usha Rajagopal and Sri. J. Balaji. The Neraval in Shambo Mahadeva was in the Charanam line - Gopura Vasa Sundaresa, followed by swarams with interesting eduppu. Yadhukula Kamboji alapana and Kaalai Thuki was a beautiful contrast to Pantuvarali. The fast paced Vade Venkatadri was rendered with prowess, and set a great prelude to a detailed Mohanam by both the vocalist and violinist, interesting exchange of swarams between the two artists, and a grand thaniavarthanam.
Following the main piece was the Kotiswara Iyer Kriti – Arul Seyya Vendumayya, and the concert concluded with Kurai Ondrum Illai which was a request from the audience.
