* We can locate mention in atleast in two MD kritis-Sri Kanthimathim-Hemavathy &Sri Lakshmi varaham-Abohi. Any more of this or any holy river for that matter Yamuna,Ganga....?

Papanasam Sivan's kAntimati annaiyE gati in kAnaDa mentions the river: puNya nadiyil siRanda tAmira varNi.

There are plenty of references to many rivers in musical compositions. We should probably open a separate thread, so that it shows up better in future searches.
