FOOTNOTE
[1] mElE is literally 'on top of' – tough to find a literal usage in English with respect to falling in love....

Re: eppo varuvaro meaning
Some idle thoughts.
A generic view - kAdal is romantic/ardent love.
On the 'act of feeling, falling, in love' - my tuppence :
kAdal KoNDEn - 'fell in love' comes close although not literal.
mElE kAdal koNDEn - for(on) whom I feel/felt ardent love ? - a little awkward in construct but possible.
