I had the privilage of attending Aruna's concert in Narada Gana Sabha in Dec 10 season. I bought a Rs 100 Balcany ticket, 5 days b4 the concert. 2 days later NGS had a sign concert tickets will be available only a day b4.On that day they sold a few Rs 50 and 100 tickets and then stopped. A sign appeared all Rs 50, 100, 500 tickets sold out. On the day of the concert there was a crowd pushing and shoving for tickets. A westerner (lady) came and was told only ticket available was a few Rs 1000 tickets. She relented and bought one.
When the concert started, I noticed about 100 seats vacant in the balcany, a whole right side facing the stage. The ticket issuing person or a helper could have gone up and checked this out. Not at all. So many rasikas returned dejected. During the Thani aavardanam, I went down and pointed this out to the people in the Box office. They said they were all reserved for members and so couldnt do anything. If a similar situation happened again, they WOULD DO the same thing.
Well. I hope the public rasikas note this and complain to the secretaries of NGS. How could 100 members reserve the seats and not come? IS NGS trying to pull a fast one and forcing people to buy the RS 1000 tickets?

Re: Concert tickets - Aruna Sayeeram- NGS
NGS is better compared to KGS.(Krsihna Gana Sabha,T.Nagar)
Even one month before december season starts KGS will say only 200 rs ticket available. But concert day u can see lot of 100 rs seats vacant.Except MA(Music Acadamy) i am not finding professionalism in ticket selling in any sabha. Vani Mahal(Thyaga branha Gana sabha )and MFA are slightly better..
