Looks like Kalotsav beginning today?

Drove thro' Odakathur Mutt (Blr) early this morning and noticed the Kalotsav '11 Banner.

Apparently the series commences today, with a concert by Madurai T N Seshagopalan (6 PM) - they have a good line up -going all the way to Feb 27th.

Ohhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! Why did I just assume Kalotsav is beginning from day after??? Can't believe I missed TNS's concert! I was looking forward to it so much.
Any reports at least?

Ahhhhhh that makes me even more frustrated! Pantuvarali, Kedaram and Shanmukhapriya!!! How could I have missed this????

Nadaloludai was 2nd piece. The concert really took off from pantuvarali. After kedaram keerthana, he sang ennaramum in devagandhari. A typical TNS concert, good use of brigas, kanakkus, graha bedam in shanmukhapriya etc. Mannargudi Eshwaran was very subdued. M.Chandrasekharan was superb in his replies..Couple of minor observations - In chitta ranjani keerthana, he was singing nice swaras, towards the end, he touched tara sadjam TNS was referring to notes for tiruvadi charanam; also sahityam was slightly different in charanam - he sang as "edutta janmam kannakuzudhi tolayadu"

The concert started late at 7.00pm as the function looks like started late.
The concert ended exactly after 3 hours.

It started becoming better and better, and was a great concert

Except for the mike trouble in the 2nd piece. the artists adjusted to the mike.
Thats the reason Mannargudi easwaran was subdued.
Even sitting in the front, could not hear the mridangam properly.

when seshagopalan was singing the rtp , M C was saying seshagopalan is singing well , but I have to catch the train.
Sesshagopalan was saying I will make sure you get there safely.
