I would like to have the Lyrics of this song (below, I have written out - as I heard from the CD ; some words may require correction) :
kanaka sabhaiai kanda pirago kAtchiyum undo Tillai (Oru) kAtchiyum undo
ShivakamiNeshan Natarajan TirunAdam Kuri Chidambaram Shenru
PAmbu Punayum Ananda Vellam ...
It is sung in Kapi, Rupakam Talam.
Is this song composed by GKB ?
I would also like to know the Alternate Ragams and Alternate Taalams if any, that are mentioned in the Standard Ref Book for this song.
Thanks in advance.
...
PS :
I have searched thru this site, including links like :
- 5 pages of http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1076
- http://www.rasikas.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=4073
etc, but could not find this song.
It seems that "Kanaka Sabhai, Iru Natanam …" in Surati, Adi, is more popular, for eg, sung by Nityashree.

Re: kanaka sabhaiai kanda Pirago Lyrics
I could not find PS's mudra = rAmadAsan in this song.
So, I checked up on a few other comps of his.
"mAl marugA SaNmukhA murugA guhA" (http://www.karnatik.com/c2640.shtml) has "rAmadAsan".
But, "kaDaikkaN nOkki", as given in (http://www.karnatik.com/c1526.shtml) - does not have "rAmadAsan".
So too, I could not find "rAmadAsan" in "nAnoru viLaiyATTu bommaiyA", as given in (http://www.karnatik.com/c1027.shtml).
So, I am curious to know if there was an intended pattern by him - of having the mudra in some songs, and not having the mudra in some others.
If yes, I would like to know that pattern.
Thanks in advance.

Google search reveals :
On Papanasam Sivan :
...
"Signature: Since his original name was Ramayya, he used the mudra Ramadas in his compositions. Not all his compositions contain his mudra."
Google offers some insights into the man and his compositions - signed and unsigned - via,

Thanks.
Yes, I now found the stmt :
"Not all his compositions contain his mudra."
in : http://www.carnatica.net/composer/papanasamsivan.htm
I also had a glance at :
http://kpjayan.wordpress.com/2011/01/02 ... ni-ramani/ which says : "In fact, there are many compositions which do not carry his mudra in them."
But, I am still curious if there was a pattern by which he opted to give his mudra in some comps, and not in some other comps.
For such a great composer, it wouldn't have been so difficult to find matching words to fit into the Ragam, when also including his mudra ; so I wonder if he probably followed a pattern.
This is just a curiosity ...
