Pandit Madhav Gudi is no more

Pandit Madhav Gudi, a disciple of Basavaraja Rajguru and Bhimsen Joshi has passed away in Dharwar.

Madhav Gudi was most recognized as a true heir to his guru Bhimsen Joshi, and had accompanied his guru for several years in concerts.

Madhav Gudi's albums of Dasara padas (songs of Haridasa-s, like Purandaradasa, Vijayadasa, ....) have been quite popular, just like his Bhimsen Joshi's.
