T.M.Krishna in Raleigh, NC on April 23rd

Post by hamirkalyani123 »

R.K.Shriramkumar (Violin), Arun Prakash (Mridangam)

1. Paripalaya - Reetigoula - Swati Tirunal
2. Gajavadana Sammodatha - Thodi - ???
3. Siva Siva yanarada - Pantuvarali - Tyagaraja
4. Chetasri Balakrishnam Bhajare - Dwijavanti - Dikshitar
5. Chalamelara Saketarama - Marga Hindolam? - Tyagaraja
6. Enduku Nee daya - Harikambodhi - Tyagaraja
7. RTP in
8. Ramachandram Rajeevaksham - Shankarabharanam - Dikshitar

I left at this point and someone can fill up the rest of the items and also the RTP raga & ragamalika I forgot. Krishna seemed a little bit tired at the start of the RTP, perhaps due to the back to back concerts in the weekends and the travel involved.

Gajavadana is by Ettappa Bhupathi Maharaja. Also, having met TMK last year, I don't think 'tired' is a word in his dictionary.lol:)))

5. chalamElarA sAkEta rAmA--the pet song of my childhood. Still love it and the rAgam! Did he sing the rAgam and do niraval and svaram?
6. enduku nirdaya?--hari kAmbOdi--another favored song and rAgam...

No, Chalamelara was sung in a quick tempo with no ragam, nirval or svaram.
