ninnE nammi? - kadanakutUhala varNam - Adi (sketch)
ennagAna rAma bhajana - pantuvarALi - rUpaka - Bhadrachala Ramadas (RNS)
Emani vEgintunE - husEni - Adi - T (sketch)
abhimAnamu - bEgaDe - Adi - PSI (R)
gajavadanA sammOdhita - tODi - Adi - ? (RS)
It was a good concert.
kadanakutUhalam sketch lacked the KKH "punch". Singing could be more open-throated. I was pushed to outside the hall by the huge crowd and couldn't hear the shruti. pantuvarALi AlApanais aren't much fun without it. The neraval and swarams were good.
Sri Raghuram played very good neravals, and his AlApanais, while less "elaborate", were filled with more classical phrases. There were some noticeable shruti errors, though. Sikkil didn't let him reply to finishing neravals and swarams, sadly.
Sri Arjun Kumar accompanied beautifully. Would've been nice if Sri Guruprasanna had participated more actively.
There was a shruti bhEdam to hindOLam (apparently) by Gurucharan -- and it was the naThabhairavi-janya hindOLam which would need ma to be set as the new sa. People sing hindOLam in samashruti itself for tODi, is it really necessary?
 Interestingly, the gentleman sitting to my left said an "acchaccho" when the violinist did a shruti bhEdam to mOhanam (ri set as sa ... kalyANi janyam), though he swallowed Sri Gurucharan's shruti bhEdam happily. Probably because of the samashruti-singability of hindOLam in tODi.
I liked neraval and swarams in pantuvarALi and the bEgaDe and tODi krti renditions, though tODi was spoiled a little by AlApanai within krti. I tend to be absurdly sensitive to this. ;( |(
I left after the tODi krti.

I just filled in a few gaps. It was definitely a good concert. He sings with ease (anaayaasam) and so there is listening sowkyam.srikant1987 wrote:Neeve Rakshaku- kadanakutUhala varNam - Adi (sketch)

Instead of Arjun Kumar it was BC Manjunath who played mridangam. Very enthusiastic young lad.

No wonder he accompanied so beautifully then!Instead of Arjun Kumar it was BC Manjunath who played mridangam.

Probably my short sight's just worsened a bit!

Actually while I'd written down the list, I lost it and had to write this down from memory.
Hamsanaadam pallavi ... so I mainly missed the tODi swarams and the tani.

Arjun Kumar is a left handed mrudangam player and hence sits on the musicians' right (from the audience perspective) while Manjunath is right handed!

I have seen BCM recently. If I've seen Arjun Kumar, I don't remember it.
