Shloka on Thyagaraja

Post by yadugiri_nivasa »

Hello,
During a concert, I heard a shloka about Sri Thyagaraja Swami (the composer) and another on Sri Muthuswami Dikshithar. Both the shlokas were in Sanskrit. Can somebody post the lyrics of both? Also, is there one on Shyama Shastri also?

If you can provide the beginning words for these shlokas we might be able to locate them.

I do not remember the beginning words, but I think they all end as Thyagaraajaya Mangalam and Mutthuswamine mangalam. But I might be wrong.

If I am not mistaken, I may have listened to a composition along those lines by Mangalampalli Balamuralikrishna.

I found only one shloka on Shyama Shastri by Balamuralikrishna:

brahma tEja (mangaLa shlOka). rAgA: maNirangu.

brahma tEja prabhAsAya brahma jnAna svarUpiNE dEvI dhyAna nimagnAya shyAmakrSNAya mangaLam
kAma mOha vidUrAya gAna sampada dAyinE shyAma shAstrI sunAmAya shyAmakrSNAya mangaLam
