I wanted to do this while the music and dance sessions were in full swing in Madras:

On behalf of the vast majority of members who do not have the opportunity to listen to these concerts (even if one were in Chennai, unless one joined the likes of Dolly, feral cats and goats, and get oneself cloned, one could not attend all these gems), I would like to thank all of the reviewers for the self-less serice they provide us. I am so happy to see that they so strongly emulate the saying 'yAm peTra inbam ivvayagam peruga'. I realize that like the usual multitudes of concert goers, our reviewers could have also selfishly kept their joy to themselves. Instead, they chose to share, and for that, I am so grateful.

I think, reviewing a concert appropriately is an art almost as difficult as performing, and all of our reviewers do it so admirably. The reviews seem to do so many things: we get the ambience (including the mAmIs, cell phones etc) and the song list, and also, the feelings evoked by the compositions - that last part is the incredible, unmeasurable rasAnubhava, which brahmA is supposed to have taken from the atharva vEda when he created the fifth vEda from which all music is said to have descended. So, once again, 'ungaL anaivarkkum anantakOTi namaskAram'!
