Abishek Raghuram was supposed to sing and Saketh Raman replaced him.
The concert was delayed by 45 minutes, as Umayalpuram Sivaraman got in a traffic jam.

It was a good concert.
He sings with lots of energy, which sometimes seems like being loud.
Srikanth's returns were very good for Karaharapriya and Ranjani
Seemed like a Umayalpuram Sivaraman concert rather than Saketh Raman's concert.
Thani was excellent both after Karaharapriya and RTP.

Actually didn't want to miss Abhishek's concert. But was in for surprise when I went to the venue. What I like about the venue is it has real good acoustics when you compare it to other places in the city. Sakethraman did a good job. The high point was his Karaharapriya alapana. As Mr Raman summed up it looked more like Umayalpuram Sivaraman sir's concert that Saketh's. Obviously someone like Sivaraman sir is bound to elevate a concert a different level.

Somewhere during the concert felt that Sakethraman was trying too hard to match up to the maestro. He did succeed to some extent but that extra bit of effor t sounded loud during the Kalpana Swara rendition. Overall a decent concert. I think Bangaloreans are in for some dose of good music this weekend. We have Chitravina Ravikiran's concert and also Abhishek's at the Indira Nagar Sangeet Sabha

When Unnikrishnan was accompanied by ArjunKumar, there was no speech break by mrudangam artist . But when gurucharan and saketaraman are accompanied by RajaRao and UKS , unnAti had a kit kat break.

Speech is always there on all concerts.
This is a usual affair, when Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Srimushnam Raja Rao comes.
They take up really a long time.

UKS sir talked about marriages infact this time
Thankfully speech was after both main and RTP!

As pointed out this was a very good concert though cut short in time ,Kharaharapriya was very good and detailed,
both Mysore Srikanth and Sundar kumar played well.

Nerval and swaras for Kharaharpriya was done @ tana saukhyamu

Pallavi was set to chathurasra triputa khanda-gati
Sahityam was "Balakrishnam Vasudevam Chintayeham Santhatham Deena Bando" i think

Same venue Dr Ranganatha sharma also presented a very good concert with Kalyani main and Saveri RTP.

Mods or OP: Can you please change the name of the artist in the header? As it stands, it sounds like a HM paNDit's name. I do believe the young artist spells his name as Saketharaman (one word and with an 'a'). Thank you!
