Sanjay Subramanyam - Vocal

4. Karu Baru - Mukhari - T (R)
5. Ninnu nammithe - Mukhari - PD (S)
6.Virutham - Kulam tharum selvam thandidum
Narayanan Divya Namam - Mohanam - Sivan (RNS)
7. Thani
8. Vandanamu - Sahana - T
9. RTP - Karnataka Devagandhari
Pallavi: Vellai thamarai poovil irupan, Veenai Oliyil irupan
Ragamalika: Bhairavi, Begada, Sri Ranjani, Kedara Gowla, Khamas
10. Kadaikan parvai - Khamas - Sivan

12. ? - Behag - Swathi Thirunal
13.Thirupugazh - Theruvil anavaratham - Surutti - Arunagirinathar
14. Mangalam

Nice ramapriya, with less heard MD (?) krithi.
Sanjay started witha slow karubaru and finished with first pace dasar krithi.
Mohanam was the highlight of the concert, though power kept going on and off.
Sanjay annouced after few phrases in the RTP, that its karnataka devagandhari.
Does is it have shades of kalyana vasantham? I didn't see any shades of abheri.
The ragamalika swarams were really good after the RTP.
As usual Varadarajan was very good, his khamas was beautiful.
Thani was very good, it becomes more exotic when you have morsing.

Indeed it was a very good concert, though things picked well during Ramamanohari/Ramapriya Krithi.
All alapanas were done very well.As mentioned all the accompanists were good with Varadarajan matching Sanjay!
Yes #3 was indeed Deekshithar kriti. This was the time when power interruptions was at the peak. :D

Though weather was not supportive, the hall was full. He sang close to 3 hrs 5mins without break.

#1 Kanakangi-Todi Ata tala varnam (Ponniah pillai?)
#2 Kanukonu saukhyamu-Nayaki(o)-Thyagaraja
#8 he started with anupallavi "shrIdamA nAtO.."
#11 Ragamalika I suppose had hamsadhwani,Mohanam and Sindubhairavi
#12 Reenamadanutham paripalayamam-Swathithirunal
#13 He Sang a Virutham "Vizhikku Thunai" before Thiruppugazh

Thanks Ranjanimalavi and eppramod.
A very nice bunch of songs from Sanjay (as usual) and a 3+ hour concert with an RTP too, in a great festival which comes with a speech, chasing away the RTP at times.
I don't think sarasvati vacated her seat even for a moment. Or, was BrahmA minding the store for a second?
Kidding, just kidding!
Even us, tamizh folks, make mistakes with our language (I assume you don't speak tamizh).
veLLait tAmaraip pUvil iruppAL (sarasvati) not iruppAn (masculine). vINai Seyyum oliyil iruppAL ;)

This PD's song is something I haven't heard Sanjay sing before. Was it ninne nammide?

As for the PS song, it's one of the composer's best, in my view. It's beautiful musically--one of the most malleable mOhanams. It has so many words (all just right!). Not many vocalists sing it--may be because of that many words in it. Where was the neraval?

Yes it was ninne nammide, infact he sang back to back Mukhari krithis.
First he sang an Mukhari alapana and then sang Karubaru and then ninne nammide with swaras.

As you said Mohnam song is a beautiful composition which MS used to sing a lot ,the neraval was not elaborate.
I think he just sang one or two avarthanams may be and it was @mArajankan karunAlayan.

kedharam,
I noticed it too, but I had corrected enough and wanted to stop!
I'm happy you brought it up. naDavA and maDavAr would help the ones who don't know old tamizh, when they learn to sing it.
