NJ-vAsis need to check the CMANA website for the venue of his NJ concert - on Oct 8. It promises to be a fantastic double header with both Sri Abhishek and Sri Gurucharan.

It was a terrific concert by Gurucharan. He has made tremendous progress since the last time I saw him. The Kamakshi swarajati was really beautiful. I also really enjoyed his kannagowla alapanai.

And yes Ravi, vAnathin mIdu was the icing on the cake. In fact, I played the MSS version on continuous loop mode on the drive home.

I think the viruttam lines were sentanai kandanai, senkodu vendanai,...(?)

Everytime I listen to him he transports me to other world.No gimmicks pure music from the heart.I heard him last year in SHnamukhananda Mumbai was impressed .

Lji: The viruttam is from Arunagirinathar's kandhar alangkAram. I looked up the words and am posting them here...

I should also mention that Sri Bhaktavatsalam played an extraordinary misrachapu tani. His accompaniment to the Kamakshi swarajati was also very good, especially during the SSI style neraval on shyAmakrSNa sOdari .

Nice to hear about SGC concert, It is rare to hear a neraval@ dInarakSakA in OrajUpu cUcedi nyAyamA-kannaDagauLa.

Also if some one posts SGC's NA tour schedule that would help immensely all those in NA.
