Lji, thanks for posting the song list.
It was a wonderful concert by GV and team. I especially enjoyed the TOdi kriti, KartikEya, where she sang all the caranams; usually people skip over two stanzas in order to do a neraval on the lines "mAl marugA". The kiravani pallavi was beautifully handled. I also thought the vAchaspati elaboration by both Smt GV and Sri Srikanth were also remarkable. Neyveli Skandasubramaniam played an elaborate tani, with detailed explorations of tisram and khaNDa nadai patterns.
I thought the pallavi line was "mA madurai vaLar mInAkSi madhuravANi kIravAni amba". The pallavi was in a dvinadai tAlam (not dvijAti); chatusra nadai till the arudi and khanta nadai for the rest.
The composer was of "ShAradE" and the mangalam was HH Chandrashekara BhArati (I'm sure this is what you meant and not HH Chandrasekhara Sarasvati).

How often do we hear vAchaspati in a concert? vachaspati and kIravAni--wish I had been there. Gayatri would have sung them with 'kuzhaivu'.
Lakshman,
I bet you were happy to hear Gayathri V. on your birthday. For my sixtieth, it so happened that KVN was in town, and sang at the ANDAL temple in Bengaluru and I can't tell you how thrilled I was with such a treat...
