My self evaluation to identify good music and confidence gained thereof, suffered. when one of the members termed my views on the concert of GG at Music Academy as ‘garbage’. Though both this remark and the review in ‘ HINDU’ have been squarely taken care of, by other members, I still wanted to reassure myself about my evaluation of a concert. I had the opportunity to listen to GG again at Narada Gana sabha, which was definitely of a high order right from start to finish. The intricate swara patterns in Rama Katha Sudha and in RTP- Ramapriya stood testimony to and reinforced my view of her following TNS’ footsteps without losing bhava . Ragamalika swaras suiting Ramapriya were in Shanmukhapriya, Natakapriya, Kokilapriya, Rathipathipriya and Karaharapriya and handled deftly. I can confidently say that had the readers who have been influenced by the uncharitable remarks and reviews, listened to the concert would agree with me for the high quality and content of the concert
