The concert was held on behalf of Gana Kala Vidya Nilayam in Goregoan as a part of their Golden Jubilee celebrations .I missed Malladi concert yesterday due to office pressure.Had to beg my boss today to leave me early and he allowed reluctantly .

Another cracker of a concert from the same team who gave a brilliant performance in Chembur Fine arts made me forget my boss .
Having heard them on Saturday I was determined to attend this concert .

Gurucharan created magic again supported by Sanjeev,Rajesh and Venkatesh.

Started briskly with Viribhoni and the vallaba mukha in Hamsadwani set the path to another wonderful concert.O Rama in panthu varali was divine.Sankari neeve had an elaborate alaap and nice return by Sanjeev.Kanden seethayai was rendered with nice sangatis.When he started Abheri we were sure he would sing Nagumomu and he did with a elaborate aalaap neraval and swaram.

Sanjeev on violin was again like a wonderful follower producing what ever the singer was singing.

Thani by Rajesh and Venkatesh was done in clinical precision.Pleasing strokes with a nice understanding was a treat to watch.Rajesh was specialy magical and giving pauses where needed was absolutely a delight .Venkatesh was awesome in Thani .The team of Venkatesh and Rajesh are making Bombay artists proud.

TIrumuruga was announced as Thanjavur kalyanaramans composition (or tuned by?) was nice.

He started with a brief outline of Devagandhari and started from words Tenancholayil and went to sing enneramum.It was a sheer joy to hearthis song .Teliyene on Pharas was apt replacement for thillana as it was sung in fast phase with nice sangatis.

In all another wonderful 2 hours 50 mins perfectly planned concert of Gurucharan.The sound restrictions in the school area by police authorities to end all performances by 10 Pm in the area concert ended atl 10 15 .The packed ground was enjoying each song.

I am only hoping my boss is kind enough to give me permission to go to Priya sisters concert today.

"EnnEramum unthan sannidhiyil" is gOpAlakrishna bArath's composition. Every time I listen to this song, I am reminded of its beautiful rendition by KVN, as well as perfect tamil pronunciation of "thazhaikkum" by late Jon Higgins, unlike some native tamils who pronunce the word as thaLaikkum !

I am missing all these concerts of Ganakala as all these are during week days. Tomorrow's one will be of Lalgudi siblings.

Balaji sir.I do not record songs in concert .I do not know if GKVN recorded it.The school ground was quite full and I had to be seated in last row ,as I entered when Gurucharan was in the middle of Viribhoni.Thanks to my kind boss ,I attended only one concert as he made sure I dont attend others!

Came to know that RTP was in Ranjani and they also sang a composition in Bhairavi...
