After reading the article i felt i had to share some thoughts with fellow rasikas, please join in...

The real need to preserve paramparic styles is important but singers must be able to present 'ranjakathva' in concerts so as to gain more oppurtunities.

If truly talented there will surely a day of sunshine for artists and with a lot of media support in this 20th century I felt there is surely many to encourage.

If Dance performances lack crowd, there are some solutions like giving dancers a slot in between 2 crowd pulling concerts of Sanjay or Aruna Sairam.

And dance schools do run every street these days be it in Chicago or in Chennai or Thiruvayyaru and no dance teacher is less paid. Every art form has its own shades and brilliance. One has to analyse the ' knowhow' and not complain. . .

i endorse your view svg, i swear on my snuff box, dencture and walking stick that the real talent will definitely be recognised by sabhas after 30 years. till such time we shall continue to listen to all these elders with shaking voice and swinging sruthi. after all they have come to the limelight after 30 years and the youngsters can not be in a hurry. let them continue to sing in 12 am slots.

Dear Chalanatta,

The idea is that Younger Talents need to know 'HOW' to procure chances and exhibit best and get tuned to the atmosphere. Sabhas though growing in numbers are not very encouraging for 'people who sit at home and grumble'. It is sad that only some people like Abhaswaram Ramji take special interests to tap young talents and give them oppurtunities. Probably the solution lies in 'Luck' of the talented youth and also their 'Charm' in their concerts.

Yes Natarajan,

Friendly Press is a very big plus point.

Recently there was a review of Harikesanallur Venkatraman about this new Bhavadhaarini Anantaraman's singing at Music Academy.

In that review He has written that there was a mistake in Bhavadhaarini's rendition of 'Shri Subramanyo' -Krithi in Thodi

For the review pls read: http://www.dailythanthi.com/thanthiepap ... px?keys=13

Dinathanthi Dec 28th page 21 has the review.

He had penned that ' Pathra Vibhoothi Pradaana nipunaha' is the wrong version and that ' Pathra vibhoothi prasaadha nipunaha' should be correct.

I was quite inquisitive to know the real word- if its pradaana or prasaadha: browsed the google to find this link:

http://www.medieval.org/music/world/car ... o_mam.html

And it is Pradaana'
This is the folly of the reviewer and not the mistake of the artist'.
Such insane reviewers not only write blunder mistakes but also spoil names of such young talented vocalists.
