Sounds like a musical feast. Very classical song selection with Lalgudi school specialties like Kalyana vasantam and Madhyamavati. The siblings excel in ragams like Simhavahini (like MMA 2006).

TVG's sensitive accompaniment with disciple Suresh must have been wonderful!

TVG is not yet retired. It looks like his mridagam concerts are lesser than his vocal. Had been to one of his vocal concerts on April 3rd in Raga Sudha Hall...amazing concert

Lalgudi siblings dished out a classical feast to fans of Lalgudi's style (like myself). The AB alapana was shortish being the first one in the concert. The adherence to sahityam was very clearly evident. The alapana for begada was superb! KV didn't have an alapana :( Madhyamavati was very detailed and had Lalgudi stamp all over it! The rhythmic splits in the swarams to the extent that I could discern was fascinating and reminiscent of Lalgudi Sir. Vid. TVG was honored for the Padma Bhushan - and he (TVG Sir) wished the artists on the stage to get awards much earlier in life :) I think GOI should do better than honoring TVG past 70, MSG past 80 and RKS past 90 with Padma Bhushan... well, that's another thread.
TVG sir's sensitive playing was to be heard. Seeing him after many.... years - was wonderful. Well, I missed an RTP, But who can complain after listening to detailed Begada and Madhyamavati in Lalgudi Style. Well maybe an RTP in Charukesi or NataKuranji :)
